Itinerary description
This is a great walk that visits an abandoned hotel with panoramic views and continues to take us through a steep valley with stunning views.
Firgas itself is well worth the visit. There are wonderfull public spaces with a cascading waterfall steps and title mosaics in the pavement depicting all the Cannary Islands with 3D sculptures.
All routes use established sign posted paths. That being said the route from the road up to the abandomed hotel has an initial steep climb up a bank, which can be avoided if you wish by continuing on the road. This walk also takes you to the Firgas water factory nestled in the valley. The route around it was closed when we were there due to ongoing engineering work on the path putting up barriers against falling rocks. Hence we had to take the road route instead.
