ruta de pequeño recorrido PR AS-71
El Picu Pienzu (1.161m) es la cota más alta del Paisaje Protegido de la Sierra del Sueve. Esto y su proximidad a la costa (5km)hacen que desde su cima se disfruten vistas espectaculares (si la niebla lo permite).
En el Alto de la Cruz de Llames o El Fito, donde está el mirador (597m) tomaremos el camino que, partiendo del lado opuesto al mirador, asciende entre pinares para salir al poco a un terreno de arbustos. El camino faldea de una a otra ladera hasta llegar a la majada de Bustacu, con fuente, empinándose a partir de aquí en dirección a la majada de Mergullines (870m) donde brota la apreciada fuente de Brañafondera. Seguimos ladera arriba entre pastizales y zona de arbustos hasta la majada de Beluenzu, con bellas vistas. Aquí da inicio el tramo final hasta la cumbre del Pienzu en un zigzag para suabizar la subida. Las opciones son infinitas hasta llegar a la cumbre. Si el día está claro, bastará con dirigirse hacia la cruz para orientarse.
La vista es espectacular en un día despejado, alcanzándose desde el Torrecerredo, la cumbre más alta de Asturias en pleno macizo central de los Picos de Europa, hasta la rasa costera entre Llanes al E y Gijón al O, pasando por todos los pueblos y valles interiores del Oriente de Asturias.

The Picu Pienzu (1.161m) is the highest point in the protected landscape of the Sierra del Sueve. This and its proximity to the coast (5km) make from its top to enjoy spectacular views.
In the Alto de la Cruz de Llames or El Fito, where the viewpoint (597m) take the road which, starting opposite the viewpoint, ascends through pine forest to leave soon to an area of bushes. The road skirts from one to another slope down to the flock of Bustacu, with fountain, rearing up from here towards the flock of Mergullines (870m) which springs the source of Brañafondera appreciated. We upslope area between grassland and shrubs to the flock of Beluenzu, with beautiful views. Here begins the final stretch to the top of a zigzag Pienzu to suabizar the rise. The options are endless until you reach the summit. If the day is clear, simply go to the cross for guidance.
The view is spectacular on a clear day, reaching from the Torrecerredo, the highest peak in the middle of Asturias central massif of the Picos de Europa to the coastal plateau between Llanes E and Gijon W, through all the villages and valleys interior of eastern Asturias.

Ruta relativamente sencilla con cierto desnivel, sobre todo el último tramo de subida al pico, pero sin dificultad.
A la vuelta se metió la niebla y es difícil encontrar el camino sin mucha visibilidad...

Vistas bellisimas todo el recorrido. La ruta es facil pero el desnivel es duro para los no entrenados. En todo caso, se puede hacer solo una parte y sigue mereciendo la pena.

Ruta muy sencilla con excelentes vistas, quizás algo masificada en determinadas épocas. Apta para todo tipo de personas incluso niños.

La última subida al pico puede causar algún resbalón y puede ser peligrosa por su pendiente y exposición. Yo la calificaría como difícil. Es mejor pecar de más, que no llevar a confusión a alguien que no esté preparado y que se encuentre en problemas.
Hemos disfrutado mucho de las vistas de éste paseo. Gracias por tu trabajo
