Itinerary description
This hike begins at the normal place that hikes start for Flinders Peak. It provides a full 360 degree glimpse of Flinders Peak. The track is very distinct and easy to follow.
The early part of the hike presents a nice warm up before a more moderate climb up to the saddle between Flinders and it's partner.
The final climb up to the peak is harder than the normal Flinders hike with several rocky bits and one extra chimney.
This hike diverts from the final climb up Flinders to secret cave and then back up the the tourist route to the top. It then concludes ascending the peak and returning via the tourist trail.
The track down to the cave is a little bit tricky and is better done in dry conditions. At the back of the cave is a hole in the roof where you can see the light from above. Later on as you progress down the mountain you will see a fenced area to your left as you proceed down the track which is the other side of that hole.
