This is a very nice hike to Førlandsåsen. We parked the car in the parking lot of a hydroelectric power plant. First, it goes through the forest to a bridge, where you can enjoy a picnic next to the thunderous brook. Continue along the road for a while until a sign indicates the way to Førlandsåsen. Now the most beautiful part of the hike starts: through meadows, swamps and birches we go up to the summit. From there you have a wonderful view over Jorpeland, the fjord landscape up to Stavanger. The route is absolutely recommended! Since it is not in any travel guide and many travelers come only because of the obvious Preikestolen in the region, the route is as good as its own.
