Itinerary description
This hike starts from the picturesque square "Plaça d'Espanya" in Fornalutx.
Follow the small alley "Carrer de Sa Placa" and then further on "Carrer Joan Albertí Arbona" which eventually turns into "Cami Binibassi".
After 10 minutes the road passes the small cemetery in Fornalutx before it narrows and then follow the old path for about 15 minutes down to the village of Binibassi.
The village is easy to miss because today it only consists of a few houses and there is no sign informing where you are.
Follow the signs to Soller and then up right towards Tuent.
The ascent uphill is quite steep.
Take the opportunity to visit the small chapel of Sa Capelleta, Santa María de l’Olivar, which is about a third of the ascent uphill, just before crossing the Ma-10.
Continue following the signs to Tuent.
Before continuing down to Fornalutx at the sign "Fornalutx 55 min" to the right and "Balitx / Tuent 4 h" you are only 5 minutes below Mirador. You definitely should not miss a detour here.
Mirador de ses Barques is one of the most visited rest area along Ma-10 on Mallorca's west coast. The view of the coast here is magnificent.
For many hikers this is the starting point for one of the most popular hiking tours in Mallorca: the coastal path to Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra.
Back on the trail down to Fornalutx, just follow the signs.

Beautiful hike!
I strongly recommend hiking it clockwise. There is a long stretch uphill from Soller on a rocky path, which would be unpleasant to go downhill.
The title of the hike says "Mirador", but even of there are several great views along the way, there is no actual viewpoint which I expected based on "Mirador".
It took us just over two hours to complete.
