Itinerary description
From campsite Almócita to Las Canales Padules via the Andarax gorge.
We start at the canyon near the campsite. After a View on Almocita, this is the start of the hike. Before the ruins we take a left Into the canyon and we see several ruins and a bridge.
After the bridge we follow the path way up until the next signs. We have to follow the path in the direction of the Andarax river and gorge. We decide to walk down (and up again) to enjoy our lunch here.
On a plateau we follow the path to the left, after some water canals and ruins we enter the part which is pretty tricky if you have some fear of heights.. fortunately there are ropes to give some security. This is the spectacular part of te trail as we enter the Andarax gorge.
After this we walk towards the stream Las Canales (Padules). The way up is pretty steep and we now see a lovely view on Padules, you can go back via this village or take the quickest road via through the fields towards the campsite, the end of this trail.
