Itinerary description
Alternative of the most popular Georgian trek, which is by mine opinion even better than standard hike via Zhabeshi. This one climbs onto Zuruldi massif, descends to Tsvirmi village and then follows a new road leading to Tetnuldi ski resort, where it merges with classic trail to Ushguli. Regularly updated gpx log can be found on my website.
Also, day 4 of this route is outdated - follows a road while there is a trail, but Wikiloc logs cannot be updated in retrospect. For the updated log, pls download the log from my site, link below.

First day can be challenging if you are not used to it, i would strongly recommand to hitch hike until you reach the cable car.
There is also a 'short cut' through the wood when leaving mestia. The short cut trail is not maintained and can be very muddy.

Nice trail, but the last part has changed and became a dusty road for cars, better to take the alternative route to ushguli, also nice to hike in day 5 to shkhara,
Thank you for the trail!
HI ziad, you are completely right, this log is not up to date since it doesnt contain trail on day 4. Unfortunately, wikiloc doesnt offer an option to edit already submitted trails. Updated gpx logs can be found on my website (in the trail description)

Very good description and a beautiful hike. Unfortunately the last part of the route as described is a dusty road.

it was really scenic hike where all the trails are green, mainly when you select the right season to visit which is i believe end of luly to mid october. trail information helped a lot. only day 4 instead of following the iprari to ushguli road we tool higher route which is again scenic.
