Itinerary description
This is the route you should take by car to get to the entrance to the trail. It will only take you about 10/15 minutes drive. It is very easy: as soon as you go down from the Finca take left to head up to Anaga forest and continue all the way until you find a crossroad (photo 1). Then you have two options, right or left. Take left and continue for about 1 kilometer until you find an iron gate and certain wood panels with indications (photo 2 and 3). Leave the car there and continue walking for about 400 meters until you find an wooden sign pointing to "Tegueste and Pedro Álvarez" (photo 4). That is the trail you shall take and even if at the beginning seems a bit steep, do not worry, I have done it with my 3 kids aged 2, 6 and 8 without any problem. You will end up on a big path that if taken to the left will take you back to the top in about 40 minutes (photo 5). The other option from there (before going back) is to do a circular 20 minutes beautiful hike taking a small sort of bike trail that heads down hill and that will take you back to where you are. At the end of the hike you should be getting out of the wood very close (about 20 meters) from where you started (photo 6)
