Itinerary description
Since a while it is possible to walk from Ribadesella to Playa de Guadamía all along the coast. Combining this with the Camino del Norte makes a nice circular route.
I didn't walk all the way to Playa de Guadamía as I realised during the walk that I wouldn't be there in time. My plan was to take the senda fluvial (a path along a stream) from Guadamía to Cuerres, but that is only possible with low tide. If you would walk on and take the river path to Cuerres, the walk will be about 3 kms longer I think.
I qualified the difficulty of this route as 'moderate' only because there are a few steep and sometimes slippery hills in it. I sometimes walked around them, so you could actually stay closer to the coast than I did.
