Itinerary description

Using good paths, this walk takes you beside and through woodland and along low ridges with great views. Visit Fairstead church, this walk will take you through the charming village Terling, see some ancient wall painings in the church as well as some village architecture before heading back through lovely Flack's Green to Fuller Street to The Square & Compasses, for a good quality ale and great menu.

At the Square & Compasses, carpenter's and woodman's tools are displayed with stuffed birds & shooting pictures. This comfortable old pub has wood fires in winter and a welcoming garden in the summer. The food is all home cooked and a very friendly pub and you will want to return.
