Itinerary description
nice steep sube-baja to pico gabieto. took the opportunity to also go around the cliffs leading up to punta catuarta, which offers a beautiful view across ordesa all the way to monte perdido. it's recommendable to start early (5-6?), so you can hike most of the day in the shade. try to remember some landmarks on the uhill when getting out of the forest and approaching pìco la escusaneta, as it can be a bit tricky to find the entrance back into the forest on the way down the rest is pretty straighforward. it was a very hot august day and water could still be found up 2500+ meters where it comes right off the top of the mountain. avoid picking up water before heading right towards la catuarta, as there are quite a few sheep next to the streams.
