Garachico circ thru El Guincho-Genoves

A walk with great views over the north coast around Garachico. Please note: do not go up the path at waypoint 'wrong path', it is dangerous, slippery and probably goes nowhere. We turned around and retraced our steps. However, the entrance to it is more obvious than that at waypoint 'right path' several metres down the road, before the tunnel. The entrance to the right path up onto the top of the tunnel is obscured by a crash barrier which you need to climb over, and a number of large rocks in the first 4-5 metres of the path. After crossing these the path is clear and easy to walk. There are excellent views up the cliff above the tunnel, and some interesting plants. In a few places the path is overgrown but it is easy to break a way through the vegetation. The remainder of the route is on good paths that are easy to find. The diversion to the left just below the village of San Juan del Reparo goes to the old water source and public laundry place. There are some superb views down to Garachico along the path.
Esta caminata tiene estupendas vistas al costa norte cerca de Garachico. Aviso: No entre la vereda a punto 'wrong path', es peligrosa y resbaladizo y probablemente va a ninguna parte. Yo y mis compañeros tuvimos que volver al carretera. Pero la entrada es mas fácil ver que la vereda correcta a punto 'right path', que está unos metres más cerca al túnel. Es difícil a ver porque es detrás de una barrera de protección, y los primeros 4-5 metros de la vereda están debajo de varios roques grandes. Después de estas pocos metros la vereda está fácil a ver y a caminar. Hay uno o dos sitios donde la vegetación cubre la vereda con maleza, pero es fácil continuar. Encima del túnel podría mirar bien la acantilado y hay unos plantas interesantes. La demás de la ruta es por senderos fácil a encontrar y caminar. La desviación hasta la izquierda debajo del pueblo San Juan del Reparo va hasta las fuentes y lavadoras antigua. Desde la vereda hay buenas vistas hasta Garachico.
