(Español) Al filo de la niebla

La ruta nos acerca a la geología y a los notables contrastes de clima y vegetación que nos muestra su corto recorrido.  Al inicio de la ruta, contemplamos un dique volcánico mientras oteamos el imponente paisaje de Los Roques. Luego, el sendero atraviesa la crestería insular, mostrándonos el influjo de la niebla sobre la vegetación, ya que en la zona orientada al norte, batida por las nieblas, encontramos laurisilva húmeda y brezales de tejo, en los que proliferan musgos y líquenes sobre troncos y suelo, mientras la vertiente sur se muestra mucho más seca.  En las zonas rocosas tenemos oportunidad de admirar las preciosas plantas que viven en estos ambientes particulares.  La ruta finaliza en un mirador sobre la escarpada cabecera del barranco de Hermigua, cubierta de bosques.

(English) On the edge of the mists

The route gives us an insight into the geology and the striking contrasts of climate and vegetation that can be seen along this short trail. At the start of the route, we can see a volcanic dyke while we scan the imposing landscape of Los Roques.  The trail then crosses the dorsal ridge of the island, showing us the influx of the mist into the vegetation, as we find moist laurel forest and tree heath and Canary Island holly on the north facing slope, swept by the mists, with a proliferation of moss and lichens on the tree trunks and on the ground, while the southern slopes are far drier. In the rocky areas, we have the chance to admire the lovely plants that live in these particular environments. The route ends at a look out point over the rugged head of the Hermigua Gorge, covered with forests.

(Deutsch) Am Rande der Nebelwolken

Auf dieser kurzen Route erhalten wir einen interessanten Einblick in die Geologie des Parks und seine großen Klima- und Vegetationskontraste. Zu Beginn sehen wir bei der Betrachtung der atemberaubenden Landschaft von Los Roques einen beeindruckenden Vulkandamm, dann verläuft der Weg über den Gebirgskamm der Insel und führt uns den großen Einfluss der Nebel auf die Vegetation vor Augen, denn auf den oft in Wolken eingehüllten, nördlichen Hangzonen treffen wir auf feuchte Lorbeer- und Baumheidewälder, in denen Baumstämme und Erdboden dicht von Moosen und Flechten bewachsen werden, während die südlichen Hänge deutlich trockener sind. In den felsigen Gebieten können wir darüber hinaus die herrlichen Pflanzen bewundern, die in diesem besonderen Ambiente heimisch sind. Der Endpunkt der Route ist schließlich ein Aussichtspunkt auf einem zerklüfteten und dicht bewaldeten Bergkamm oberhalb der Schlucht von Hermigua.
