(Español) Garajonay, a vista de pájaro

La ruta nos lleva entre matorrales de jaras y codesos y zonas en restauración de fayalbrezal hasta el Alto de Garajonay, el punto más alto del Parque y una auténtica referencia para la cultura aborigen por su carácter sagrado y ceremonial. En su ascenso, la ruta nos ofrece interesantes vistas de los paisajes forestales de las cumbres gomeras recubiertas de bosque.

El sendero atraviesa terrenos sometidos a restauración forestal: donde antes había plantaciones de pinos, ahora surgen fayas y brezos.

(English) A bird’s eye view of Garajonay

This route takes us among the rockroses and brooms and recovered areas of wax myrtle and tree heath forest up to El Alto de Garajonay, the highest point in the Park and a genuine reference point for the aboriginal culture because of its holy and ceremonial nature. During the climb, the route offers interesting views of the forestry landscapes of the La Gomera peaks covered with forest.

The track crosses lands that are being recovered as forests, where there used to be pine tree plantations, but where there are now wax myrtles and tree heath.

(Deutsch) Der Garajonay aus der Vogelperspektive

Die Wanderroute führt uns inmitten von Strauchfeldern von der Montpellier- Zistrosen und Blättchenreicher Drüsenfrucht, sowie jungen Aufforstungszonen kanarischen Heidebuschwaldes hinauf zum höchsten Gipfel des Nationalparks, dem Alto de Garajonay, der in der Kultur der Ureinwohner La Gomeras als heilige Stätte eine große kultische Bedeutung inne hatte. Beim Aufstieg haben wir darüber hinaus auch sehr interessante Ausblicke auf die dicht bewaldeten Berghänge der Insel.

 Der Wanderweg zieht sich durch mit der ursprünglichen Vegetation aufgeforstete Gebiete: Wo vor noch gar nicht allzu langer Zeit noch Kiefernwaldpflanzungen standen, blühen heute wieder Kanarische Baumheiden und Gagelbäume.
