(Español) La variedad de Garajonay

Esta ruta es la más larga del Parque Nacional. Su recorrido atraviesa los diferentes tipos de ecosistemas situados en las cumbres y vertiente norte del Parque, como los brezales de cumbres con sus alfombras de musgos, la laurisilva de ladera y los gigantescos viñátigos de los fondos de barranco, junto a las corrientes de agua.

La ruta nos permite disfrutar de los paisajes forestales de las cumbres y también de vistas sobre las zonas más bajas y secas, como sucede en el entorno de Los Roques o en la zona alta de la Caldera de Benchijigua. Aquí podemos apreciar los basaltos horizontales, de gran interés geológico, y especies raras como el cedro o el tajinaste azul.

(English) The variety of Garajonay

This is the longest route in the National Park. It takes us through different kinds of ecosystems situated on the peaks and the northern slopes of the Park, like the highland tree heath forests with their carpets of moss, the laurel forest of the slopes and the giant mahogany trees of the bottoms of the gorges, next to the streams of water.

This route allows us to enjoy the forested landscapes of the mountain peaks and views over the lower, drier areas, for example around Los Roques or in the upper part of La Caldera de Benchijigua. Here we can see the geologically interesting horizontal basalt rock and rare species like the Canary Island cedar or the dwarf bugloss.

(Deutsch) Die Vielfalt des Garajonays-Nationalparks

Bei dieser Wanderroute handelt es sich um die längste des Nationalparks. Sie durchläuft die unterschiedlichen Ökosysteme der Gipfelregionen und der Nordhänge des Nationalparks, wie z. B. die Gagelbaumpopulationen der Gipfel mit ihren Moosteppichen, die Lorbeerwälder der Berghänge und führt entlang der großen Viñatigos ( auch kanarischen Mahagonibäume gennant) die in den Schluchtbetten an den Wasserläufen wachsen .

 Die Wanderung zeigt uns Bergwälder und herrliche Ausblicke auf die tiefer gelegenen, weniger feuchten Zonen des Nationalparks, wie beispielsweise in der Umgebung von Los Roques oder in den höheren Zonen des Talkessels von Benchijigua. Hier können wir auch die geologisch äußerst interessanten, horizontalen Basaltablagerungen sehen und sehr seltene Pflanzenspezies, wie die Kanarische Zeder oder den Stachelfrüchtigen Natternkopf.
