Itinerary description

Ruta alternativa algo más corta pero más exigente que en lugar de volver por asfalto, recorta por el Hom (834 m) hasta el cómodo parking de Santa Katarina. Recorriendo las gargantas de Vintgar. En esta ruta el pago de peaje de entrada es voluntario. El acceso al parking de llegada y salida se hace desde el pueblecito de Zasip. El acceso es asfaltado hasta el parking. La subida al Hom es bastante exigente por su pendiente pero la frondosidad del bosque compensa ampliamente.

Alternative route, a little bit shorter than the typical one, but more demanding, because instead of returning by the main road, you climb up the peak Hom (834 mts) finishing in santa's katherina parking.

If you follow this track, payment for the entrance to the gorgs is voluntary. The route begins and ends in the parking, and you reach it from Zasip village.

The slope until you reach The Hom Peak is quite demanding, but it is worth while due to the marvellous environment.

Parkirni prostor ob slapu Šum. Cesta od pokopališča do tu, je slabo vzdrževana. Parking next to the waterfall Šum. The road from the cemetery to get here, is poorly maintained.

Začetek pešpoti. Do te točke se je možno pripeljati skozi vas, parkiranje pa možno le za avto ali dva. Beginning footpath. To the point it is possible to drive through the village, but parking is available only for a car or two.
