Itinerary description
Nice circular walk, starts behind the petrol station and is marked with twin Blue marks.
For the first 6k it is a part of GR141.
At this point there is an electricity pylon mounted on a concrete hut. Carry straight on through a gate. The GR141 drops down the right towards El Colmenar.
Walk through the hotel grounds and out into the Gaucin/El Colmenar road.
Cross the road and follow the good track downhill passing a few houses and farms; after circa 5 minutes the path heads off to the left all marked with the Blue marks.
The path steadily climbs passing around a small goat farm which you pass to your left which is adjacent to a large house and electricity sub station which you leave to your right.
You emerge at the junction of the Ronda/Algeciras/ El Colmenar road, as you cross the road look for the same Blue marks, these lead you down a path which follows the road before emerging about 1.5k from the village.
Alternatively just walk along the road passing a Venta which is good or carry onto the start point where the Bar El Hacho serves very good food with superb views from the balcony.
