Itinerary description

Gaucín Ayuntamiento Ruta XI - Un paseo hasta la base de la montaña El Hacho, a través de los alcornocales y luego una subida de regreso al pueblo por un camino antiguo y muy bonito.

Gaucín Town Hall Route XI - A walk up to the base of Gaucin's mountain El Hacho, down through cork oak forests and then a stiff climb back up to the village on an ancient and very pretty path.

Turn left onto the larger track. When you see the roman numerals II and XI, turn right and then go through the metal gate.

    It’s a nice walk, but i think it’s more than 7 miles, it shows 13 miles on my watch

    Hi Laura, thank you. Yes, it is a lovely walk with varied scenery.
    If you start and finish at Gaucin petrol station then this route is 13 kilometres, and definitely not 13 miles (which would be approximately 21 kilometres).
    I've done it more than once and measured the distance each time and it's between 12 and 13 kms, depending on your GPS recording device. There are other recordings of the same route on Wikiloc by other people which all show a similar distance.
