Itinerary description
You will be starting the trail near the Kabaal church. There is plenty of parking spaces around the area. The trail is divided between forest and tarmac passing through the village of ghineh. It is somehow an easy trail, you will passing through old houses, Antoun, Adonis and Astarte Rock (related to the famous Story) and monuments.
After around 1k from the starting point you will pass through the first off road section/forest. The you will be checking the Atoun.
After Atoun (around 4k from starting point), follow the sign of Mahboube Trail. From here you will be loosing around 100m of elevation before regaining 200m (all in the forest area). The distance from the Mahboube sign back to the tarmac road is around 2k. Then, you will pass by a potable water fountain (Ain Kabaal) before noticing St. Rita Church on your left.
Following the church, it is a straight forward trail to reach your car.
The trail was clean, well maintained, keep it that way and enjoy nature!
