Itinerary description
A decent hike taking in the whole Rock of Gibraltar:
* starting at Europa Point, the most southerly point in Gibraltar, take a gentle walk through Keightley Way Tunnel and along the shoreline at Rosia Bay before heading into the South District towards the centre of town
* Walking along Main Street, take a right onto Bell Lane which leads directly to the Castle Steps leading to the Moorish Castle
* keep heading up the Rock past the Castle, the WW2 tunnels and the Great Siege Tunnels, taking the steep roads up to the cable car waystation (there is a restaurant here should food be needed)
* look out for the start of the King Charles Steps, head down avoiding any monkeys and at the bottom, continue south to the Windsor Suspension Bridge
* from here, head straight up the Rock past St Michael's Cave and on towards the Skywalk lookout station, here you will find an access point to the Douglas Path that takes you even higher up the Rock
* at the end of Douglas, take a left up to O'Hara's Battery, the highest point on the Rock, and admire the spectacular views of Africa
* doubling back slightly, head down the famous Med Steps and onwards to finish back at Europa Point.
