Itinerary description
This is a greatl hike full of surprising views. The climb is moderate but some will have to use their hands every now and then so for some people it may be a difficult part. The same is true for the first descent.
From the big carpark Florets at 320m you can either follow the signposted track or the gravelroad to the Col du Cayron.
From the Col du Cayron (396m) we took the marked track (blue dots) straight up to the pass (540m), a climb of about 150m and you will already have some wonderful views on your way up.
From the pass with its magnificent views and impressive rock formations a narrow track goes up to the rocks and follows the ridge on the southern side with again many splendid views.
After slightly less than one kilometre along this track we took the descent to the Col d'Alsau (445m).
From this Col we kept on following the blue dots along the southern ridge of Dentelles de Montmirail and after slightly more than a kilometre we followed the track down into the valley of the L 'Aguille.
Arriving at the first vineyards the track goes up again to a road that goes to the Domaine de Cassan.
From this Domaine the road continues until it becomes a dirt road not accessible for motor vehicles which gradually climbs to the Col du Crayon.

J'ai l'habitude de randonner avec des enfants de 5ans et demi à 10 ans sur des tracé modéré et celui la est vraiment difficile. C est plutôt un treck avec de la semi escalade. Ils s en sont tous sortis au la main mais même les randonneurs étaient surpris d'y voir des enfants. Cela dis une très bonne ambiance sur le parcours, les randonneurs sont très gentils sans oublier le paysage magnifique ! Par contre à ma montre j'avais 10km tout pile au retour au parking. Nous nous sommes trompés et revenu sur nos pas mais pas sur une grande distance..
