Itinerary description
The carrilet (old railway) trail from Girona to Olot has about 55 Km. We first go to Amer and spend the night there at the Fonda Giralt. This inn is cheap, serves good food, and the people running it are nice and friendly. The first stretch of the trail roughly follows the river Ter, and it is quite nice. Afterwards, just before reaching Bescano, the trail parallels the road: there is the consequent noise of the cars, and there fewer trees to give cover.
