Route to the language of the Oksfjord glacier.
This glacier near the city of Alta has several glacier tongues. Oksfjord is the most accessible to see and is also the only Eurpa that falls on the sea (in fact the same language does not reach the water, but a large snowfield that continues the language). The route starts from a parking lot with picnic tables where the road dies. About 200 m before the parking there is a company of recreational boats that for a small fee of 90 euros per person take you to the end of the fjord to see the glacier tongue in an excursion of about 45 min.
Without you do not want to pay that money and you want to walk a good time, this track takes you to the same point as the boat. The road, which goes completely to the water's edge of the fjord, is horizontal but has several ups and downs to save some areas of the coast where you can not walk. After 20 minutes of walking, you can see the end of the fjord and the glacier tongue in the distance. My advice is to stay here where there is a good view but far from the glacier, or continue to the end and, after a long road of 8 km, to reach the same glacial tongue. Here the view is obviously much better but the road, and especially the road, becomes long.
The way out is about 8 km, 200 m of unevenness and 2h30m. The return exactly the same. Enjoy it.

Preciosa ruta a nivel de paisaje. Hay tramos incómodos de seguir pero superables.
