Itinerary description
A nice and unassuming hike - leading to Gladihaug, a summit that provides a 360 degree of the Atlantic Ocean, Sørfjorden and the lofty peaks of Stølsheimen towards the East. Take a left turn just before the Mundalsberg tunnel past Knarvik - heading towards the village of Nepstad. Take the first turn right, parking your car next to the local Youth Center. From here, the route is signposted (Gladihaug). The first section follows a steep but easy path through pine plantations and birch forest. About half an hour into the walk, trees make way for open views and mountain scenery. A lovely sunday afternoon ramble.
