Itinerary description
Nice hike starting from the parking lot in col du Glandon. We wanted to go to lac de la Croix, but because of the slippery melting snow, we turned around at combe de la croix after seeing many mountain goats. The balcony part is very nice and gradual in it’s climbing. On the way back we decided to then head to Chalet de la Combe instead and made a nice round walk there.
There were many sheep and goat on the path, and we spotted some marmottes as well. And even an eagle up very close!
Would recommend this walk as very accessible and a nice alternative if there is still too many snow and you don’t have the right equipment for climbing the snow.
