Itinerary description
Pleasant hike going up Bled Castle, starting from the Lake Bled parking. I'd recommend this parking lot if you come by car, since they accept card payment and you pay when exiting (contrary to other parkings that require you to pay upfront).
To go up the hill of the castle, you need to leave the path along the lake. Then, after reaching a church, you will see the entrance to the path towards the castle (there's an indication saying that it takes 20 minutes to go up, but it took us less). The path has ladder steps and is quite well maintained. Don't walk too close to the fence in the zigzag corners — the fence screws are salient and may tear your clothes.
At the top, just before the castle, there's a view point. Then you can pay to enter the castle or just come down.
