Not recommended trail, highly adventurous and hard terrain. At some point, no trail, had to find our way with help of GPS.

Thanks for the GPS track. In fact it's a bit tricky to use a GPS over there because you get at the bottom of the vale and you sometimes lose signal. BUT there are some paint dots and plastic signs hung on branches if you want to find your way. Very funny and adventurous indeed !
This trail is rough. I am not sure who is building it, but good god. I ended up hiking it using a more detailed description from http://www.exploremauritius.org
We did this 2 days ago it is extremely dangerous and also closed ( no signage of closure if you leave from the Black River Gorges Viewpoint ). There are fallen trees, a lot of mud and very steep descents that would require proper gear. Also at some point the trail is covered by a small lake so it was just luck that we found where the trail continued and had to cut through the forest. it is a big NO unless you want to get rescued by a helicopter.
