Itinerary description
The first part of the trail is an easy walk along the main road to the village of Nieles - 30 min. From here it's 1.5 hr along an easy path in the hills to Lobras. From the top of Lobras you'll see the sign to Cadiar - along the slopes then across the top of a hill past an electricity post - lovely views. Next it's down to the riverbed where the trail crosses the G7 - don't take that route but follow the path along the small stream. Signposts completely disappear here but just keep following the bed of the stream - often times you're walking through the shallow water. At the end you'll find a signpost pointing back to Lobras - follow the path along the narrow valley, past the abandoned farm and onto the road. After crossing the bridge along the main road to the left, scramble up and around the farm ruins on the left to follow a path through the brush. You get to a very steep small hill - clamber up then follow the path up the top, leading you high alongside the main road towards Cadiar. This last section from Lobras was tricky to navigate at times and took me 2.5 hours.
