Itinerary description
Leaving from Nerja bus station, the first 4km to join the Caves are easy, following the road.
Once at the starting point of the stage, the trek is easy to follow up to the recreative area with a large path and a steady percentage.
After the recreative area (km5 of the stage, km9 for me), the trek is suddendly more complicated with higher percentages and a way smaller path. The downhill is a bit technical and the trek to Frigiliana can be complicated if you do it in Summer due to the last part being very exposed to the sun with very little vegetation.
Overall, it's a very nice trek and not too complicated (apart from a few sectors, mainly downhill that are technical) and Frigiliana is a very nice village to visit and a starting point of many other treks.
*Note*: Careful to turn right to the tiny rocky path around km5/9 or you may end up like me going in the wrong direction for a couple of kms.
