Itinerary description
11/5/18
Getting into the Guadaramas after watching them for days. We took the GR10.1/10.4 variante to get into this quiet mountain area. Quiet it will not be tomorrow; weekend starts.
After a last coffee at the very nice bar/restaurant Collade De la Fuente, about 1,5 km from Bustarviejo, we started our ascent to the puerto de Canencia. Never too steep, well marked and ending at the parking with lots of pick-nick tables up at the puerta.
After that, a pista forestal through the pine wood, almost level, and at the end climbing towards the Morcuera pass. Beautiful views all along the way to the snowy peaks and lovely valley de Lozoya.
Sleep in the refugio which is relatively clean where we will be joined by other outdoor lovers. Hope they brought some beers...

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
