Itinerary description
12/5/18
We had a special night up in our refugio next to the albergue Juvenil de la Morcuera (closed). It was clean (!) because of Daniel, married loner from Alcobendas who comes here every weekend to stay in this cold and dark place. But he was good company and he brought wood for the fireplace.
So this morning we shared some tea with him and moved on. Boring track in between pines, pines, pines. Downhill all the way, meeting a lot of mountain bikers and some hikers getting up. All are here because of weekend and vicinity of Madrid.
Took a slight detour to get to Rascafría.
Doesn’t look too good now; loads of Madrileños making the place crowded.
We’re staying in hotel Casa Granero.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
