Itinerary description
6/4/18
Our plan was to walk the next GR10 Stage to Albarracín but we didn’t realize we would be arriving Friday afternoon and Albarracín is a popular destination on weekends for the Spanish people.
Everything was booked for the weekend so we decided to make a detour to Gea de Albarracín where we found a Casa rural for two nights.
The detour involved branching of from Bezas in the direction of Gea. It was well worth the extra km’s. The first km’s we passed through a landscape full of beautifully shaped rock formations (Los Callejones?). And after having seen many pine trees the former stages we welcomed the wide open views offered in the last 9 km. The wide open plains we love so much about this country. As we walk in this season we were given all kinds of colors to fill our horizon. The first green of the still tiny wheat plants is a bonus.
Entering the pretty village of Gea de Albarracín is a pleasure, so is our Casa Rural.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
