Itinerary description
2/5/18
Leaving late again because the weather permitted and Cogolludo is worth the extra time.
The first bit slowly ascends, after Arbancón, towards a pine forest where the first views of the snow capped mountain ranges appeared. The pine woods (used to win resin) end with a very steep and almost dangerous descent. Right after this the road leads us to Muriel (village at the banks of the pantano).
The last stretch goes up and starts with pine again, then opens up to a barranco that leads towards the ruins of the abandoned village Sacedoncillo. From these ruins and a small ascent the last km’s offer spectacular views on the pico Ocejon and the mountain ranges south of it with Tamajón at the end of the plains.
We drink our beers at the first bar in sight and turn to Hotel Casona the Tamaya.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
