Itinerary description
18/5/18
Because we have company (brother joined for a couple of days) we postponed the stage from Cercedilla to Puerto de Leon and started from here.
This stage offers spectacular views on the Guadarrama range for the first 5-10 km. Climbing a bit to two hilltops before starting a steep descent towards San Lorenzo. Compared to other stages in the Guadarrama mountains the density of the pine forest was a lot less. This allowing us to see deep into Segovia, Madrid and Avila.
All of this track runs along stony paths. That makes this stage a bit more complicated but all and all a nice day of walking.
We’re staying in an Airbnb house with beautiful views of Madrid.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
