Itinerary description
24/5/18
Our plan was to hike yesterday but we had problems with Natasja’s mobile phone. It didn’t work anymore because the iOS update wasn’t finished because of the bad WiFi connection in the hotel (which was a great hotel rural by the way: Casa de Labranza). So we spent the entire afternoon in an Internet cafe and on the phone with Apple how to run the update. Just when we wanted to give up, the phone came back alive at 8:45 PM. We spent another night at the same hotel and left this morning for Cebreros.
It was a pleasant walk through the hills and the dehesa de Valdesanmartin where we saw so many flowers, it was incredible. After that we had a beautiful view on Cebreros and the mountains. We noticed the paisaje was different again: hardly any pine trees anymore, a more open landscape with oaks and bushes. We passed three Roman bridges and by the vía Romana we entered Cebreros. I’m having a beer, Erik went to the museum of Adolfo Suárez who helped to reinstate democracy after the Franco era. We’ll have to look for a hotel for tonight.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
