Itinerary description
30/5/18
Late departure from CR Mirador in Burgohondo after having enjoyed yesterday the fruits and vegetables from the owner’s shop in town center.
This stage was very pretty; again. Climbing towards Navatalgorda through half agricultural landscapes in the valley leads along the carretera for a bit but with very little traffic. Looking back every now and then is worth the little effort. Last views on the lovely Alberche valley.
The best part however is from Navatalgorda onwards. Some road walking again but within a spectacular landscape and soon enough we could skip the tarmac again.
Along chozos and abandoned houses, with great views on the north side of the Gredos range. And in the midst of the most wonderful granite stones.
Pausing a bit in Navalosa, hablando con la gente mayor got us fit again for the last stretch that was at least as beautiful.
After climbing the first hill out of Navalosa the road gets a bit hard to find in the field but the direction is clear.
In Hoyocasero we got ourselves a lovely little wooden bungalow in the camping.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
