¡Fiesta!
Today we reached the 1000 km milestone (or rather kilometerstone). So a lazy stage that wasn’t worth mentioning if not for this joyful celebration.
The party was brightened by today’s weather: pouring rains in our departure village. But special mention to Posada Antigua; lovely place, great dinner, marvelous breakfast and very nice owners.
The first bit to Jerte was okay picking a cherry every now and then. And celebrating the 1k km point. After Jerte things got a bit worse. Busy, touristic (also because of the start of the weekend) and partly along the carretera.
Ended up in the strange village of Cabezuela Del Valle that has a weird atmosphere to it, partly due to cherry picking day laborers that seem lost in this place. Stay in hotel Judería that perfectly fits this atmosphere. Make sure we leave in time tomorrow.

We are walking the GR10 across Spain from Puçol (near Valencia) all the way to the Spanish/Portuguese border. We started March 21th 2018 and hope to finish at the end of June.
