Itinerary description
The GR6, Barcelona to Montserrat, extended to include St Jeroni. It's a *very* long walk, with a lot of ascent at the end.
I did it in summer during the night. I left my flat in Carmel at 930pm and finished around 1115am. There were lots of spider webs and various insects. Some parts were overgrown and I had to push through thick bush. (I don't think these sections would be overgrown in winter, and so I'd advise to do it in winter rather than summer). Very rewarding to get to St Jeroni, but not easy.
Animals/insects spotted: spiders (some big ones), scorpion (Mediterranean yellow scorpion), centipede, rabbit, boar, mountain goat.
