Itinerary description
Caution: this is a really long hike as I normally like to do. It was a bit much than I originally intended for but it was still worth it. Not recommended for everyone.
The park is really beautiful with great scenery and lots and lots of waterfalls! The rock formations are outstanding and even though it's not known for its aesthetics, it's still a great place to visit. It's got many different things to see. We even saw a mama bear and her cub!
Trail-wise, it's quite well-marked and there were no tricky parts. At times, when getting to some open fields, it's not easy to find but if you know your direction, you'll find it eventually. You only need to take 2 Lts max of water I think. There's plenty of water sources in this area.
If you want to shorten the hike, you can return the same way and it should be doable. Aside from the elevation gain, of course. It'd be best to just go from hut to hut and explore each part separately. But I love crazy day hikes!
Anyway, summer would allow for more enjoyment of the daylight as we were hiking in the dark for a total of about 3 hours.
So I cautiously recommend this but definitely recommend this national park!
