Itinerary description
Another little loop taking you to the Lookout from Greenhill Reservoir. The tracks are mostly narrow trail with a couple of sections of firetrail. There is plenty of parking at the Reservoir but no toilets.
The hardest section is obviously the climb up Mt Coot-tha. There is also anotber climb along the Citradora trail which runs parallel to the Western Freeway.
The initial trial follows down from the reservoir to the Lookout trail. You follow this trail to the Frogmouth trail which ascends to the lookout. After visiting the lookout the track joins up with the Mahogony trail which crosses back across the main road climbing Mt Coot-tha to join the Citradora trail.
The Citradora trail proceeds down past the back entry to the Botanic gardens to follow that part of the Citradora trail that follows the western Freeway.
The conclusion follows the traverse trail which contours in and out of all the little gullies that sit above the Indooroopilly area before concluding at Chapel Hill Rd. A short trip up the road leaves you back at the reservoir.
A pleasant hike early morning.
