Itinerary description
We had originally planned to loop east along the base of the cliffs and back down to our starting point. Unfortunately, at the point we turned round, the path had become quite poorly marked and very poorly maintained which meant we didn't trust the safety of the steep descent sections we would have committed to.
Still, however, this was a great walk with amazing views across to the cliffs, and especially from Coll d'Escriu which gives an amazing perspective of Pedraforca.
Directions:
• there is car parking space at the beginning of the walk: easy to find a spot
• head up the dirt track to the north-west, following the white and red GR markings (GR 150 I believe)
• stay with those GR markings all the way to Coll d'Escriu
• *note:* this is consistent, fairly steep climbing – you gain 500m in 4km
• at Coll d'Escriu, the forestry trail descends to the left, and the GR continues to the right – stay on the GR
• about 25m after the Coll, a small path forks off to the right – take this and maintain your height
• we turned back after about 1km because the path wasn't defined well enough
