GUADALHORCE COUNTRYSIDE AND RIVER
Category: Country Walk
Distance: 8.7 km
Grading: Easy to Medium
Itinerary:
There is a drive to the start of the walk from the meeting place (car sharing is advised due to limited parking). The walk starts at a bridge over the Rio Grande. The track crosses the bridge and makes a loop arriving back at the bridge. This route passes through some splendid countryside, halfway up a valley and is surrounded by hills. The walk affords great views across to Serriana de Ronda and back to Sierra Nieves. The first part of the walk has a slight incline but the remainder is quite flat with a decline at the end.
Directions to start of walk from the Toblerone bridge.
Go over the Toblerone bridge in Coin, Turn right at sign Granja Salvi 1.6km, then first left
sign also Granja Salvi 1.5km. Follow the road and park on the right before you get to the bridge that crosses the Rio Grande.

A very easy walk to follow and one that can be made longer or shorter with all the tracks that coincide with it.
Will be walking there again
Hi Amanda
If you have the time try out Las Huertas de Coin
I think you will really like it
Best wishes
Tony
I have already walked the huertas de Coin. A great walk when you only have a couple of hours free. I'll be doing that one again in the winter as there is not too much shade.
I'm always on the lookout for dog friendly walks, please let me know if you know of any up to 60km inland from Malaga

A very nice route. We walked it after a week of rain. The road was very wet and muddy. You needed boots.
