From Kvam and the Kirketeigen campsite we enter the forest on a beautiful stretch that starts to climb towards the 4.2 pk. For about 10 kilometers we will find some gate and overpass to pass, nice moss forests and some small section of track crossing an indicator of Sel Kommune and a table to rest. Towards the 14th pk we descend definitively after the gentle climbs to get to the Varphaugen campsite where it is worth to deviate, if not we decided to stay there. The environment is magnificent and the place apart from being able to camp, offers the typical hytte cabins and even the curious tipis. We take the opportunity to go to the small white sand river beach that is part of the site. We cross the road from the campsite to take the road again and start a continuous and steep climb that will take us first to the beautiful viewpoint of Sjaheim, where there is a cross, and that we will end up at the place called Skarvatabrua. From there, a steep and zigzagging down the forest that will leave us on a track and then on the road to touch the river. After a tunnel towards the 19.9 kp, we will take a nice bike path on the edge of the Gudbrandsdalslågen river that will take us to Otta, where the river meets the river of the same name. Two giant chairs or chairs welcome us to the town, which has all the services. Our accommodation, the Killi Pensjonat, is at the end of the town, going up the Otta River and past the Thom Hotel.
