Itinerary description

Gunung Korbu - 2183 meter ~ 7132 ft (2nd in Peninsular, 1st in Banjaran Titiwangsa, 7th highest in Malaysia)
Gunung Gayong – 2173 meter ~ 7129 ft (4th in peninsular)

Requirement done by organizer:
Permit from Jabatan Perhutanan Perak (Perak Forestry).
Entrance permit from Lembaga Air Perak for Empangan Sultan Azlan Syah
Inform nearby Police Station

28/5/2016 (1st day)

0830hrs - Start hike
0930hrs - Kem Balak
1030hrs - Kem Seroja
1130hrs-1300hrs - Kem Kijang lunch and rest
1500hrs-1600hrs - Last water point
1700hrs-1730hrs - Reached Puncak Botak
1930hrs - Reached Summit of Mt. Korbu (rest overnight)

* as we plan to shoot for Mt. Gayong early in the morning to catch sunrise but unfortunately there was heavy rain since that night till morning and about 7am just the rain stooped.

29/5/2016 (2nd day)
1000hrs - Start hike to Mt. Gayong
1130hrs - Reached summit of Mt. Gayong (just spend about 5 minute at the summit before start hike to Korbu. (note: more clear view along the ridges between Mt Korbu and Mt. Gayong)
1300hrs - Summit of Korbu
1400hrs - Start descending
1500hrs - Puncak Botak
1530hrs - Last waterpoint
1600hrs - Kem Kijang
1700hrs - Kem Seroja
1745hrs-1900hrs - Kem Balak (rest, take shower at the waterfall and regroup)
*delay on trek just before last river crossing due to fallen big timber and big rock just few feet from our leader)
2100hrs - Safely reached parking
