Itinerary description
A classic Dilijan NP hiking trail linking Haghartsin with the other two monasteries in the area (Jukhtavank and Matosavank). There’re no mountain peaks on the route but the view out of a narrow mountain pass above the valley of Haghartsin feels like climbing one. Besides once you scramble up to the mountain pass (approximately 2.100m above the sea level) it is possible do hike the nearby summits which pop up from the adjacent ridges. If so, bring some camping equipment with you as you probably won’t be able to make it back to the valley during daytime.
Instead of continuing onwards to Matosavank we diverted to another valley heading straight do Dilijan.
