-Hangur-Tvinnestølen-Afdal

Tour from Hangur - Tvinnestølen - Afdal / Tvinne. August 2008. 200 m up, 800 m.down. 7-8 hours.
You can start this walk from Voss Town. If you start by the church, follow the marks to Voss Folemuseum Mølstertunet. From there walk the path behind the buildings. The path is marked with red Ts. If you want to save 1 hour, you take the cable car instead of walking from Voss Center. From Hangur where the cable car ends, you continue the T-marked trail through easy terrain to Horgaletten, just climb it to the top of the ski lift. Here turn left towards Vidvangane, marked signs "Tvinnestølen". You will now have the valley Dyrvedalen to the left, and you will see the small farmhouses at Arhellaren. Furthermore, the trip inland Vidvangen and after approx. 3 hours walk from Hangur, Tvinnestølen pops up. This is a lodging cabin where you can stay the night over. There is no provisions. Nice fish in lakes (if you are lucky..). We are currently on the marked path towards Volahytta located west of Tvinnestølen. The trail goes no east towards Tvinnekleivane and ends up on the farm Afdal. From there on a road down to Tvinne with awesome waterfall Tvinnefossen. Bus back to Voss Center (leaves around 18:00, check the timetable at the tourist office)
This is a nice and safe walk, and the trail is marked with red Ts. You need warm clothing and high hiking shoes.
