Haruru Falls Track (Paihia) 2016-08-23 13:02

En aquest lloc es va firmar el contracte de pau entre el poble maori i els anglesos, el tractat de Waitangi el 1840, i just allà comença un interessant track.
Podrem veure tres o quatre coses interessants: al final el conegut salt d’aigua de Haruru i al mig els boscos de manglars (amb les seves arrels que surten a buscar aire). També ocells i nius d’ocells, i arbres monumentals.
Un passeig fàcil i molt bonic.

This was signed the peace agreement between the Maori people and the British, the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840, and this interesting track begins right there.
We can see three or four interesting things: at the end of path, the Haruru known waterfall, in the middle one mangrove forests (with roots that go on for air). Also birds and nests of birds, and monumental trees.
A very nice and easy walk.
