Itinerary description
Hike around castle Steinvikholm near Skatval were we also spend the night with spectacular views over the fjord.
The hike is on asphalt roads mainly, which are not busy at all so you can soak up the stunning views all around.
From the castle, after the gravelroad we take a left on the Fløanvegen. After passing a viaduct and the Aglo Videregående Skole, a school we reach a crossing were we take a right.
On the Alstadvegen after we pass a hotel, we have reached the highest point of this hike, with nice views again on the fjord. From here we go downhill to the shores of the fjord and we can see the castle again.
At the castle you can take the bridge to walk around the island or buy a ticket for a tour inside.
