Itinerary description
Hiking - Loop from Campiglia Soana within the Gran Paradiso National Park.
The church of San Besso is tucked against and under the monolithic rock of Mount Fautenio.
Further on to Colle della Balma from which a faint - rather non-existing trail - takes to Mount Devil via an aerial crest overlooking the Pian dell'Azaria, then back to the col and on to complete the loop by descending to the head of the Campiglia Valley.
Albeit a pleasant sight, the volume of streams and waterfalls was quite reduced due to months of severe drought.
Occasional marmots and chamois.
Park rules:

Also flying drones is strictly forbidden.
