Itinerary description
Hike to the top of the volcano Telica and his huge crater
We did this hike on two days with a night near to the top of the crater. It's possible to do it in one day but it's very nice to sleep over there. Nice plce to camp, possibility to find wood to make campfire, and the sunset and sunrise definitely worth it
The hike begin at San Jacinto, easily accessible by bus from Leon. You start by the hot springs who are... really hot ! And after the hike go calmly by a road used by the farmers and her horses. only one peace of the hike is quite hard with a good ascent but all the rest isn't hard
For going down, we took another way who go to the big road where you can find a bus or a nice conductor to get you back to Leon
This is a very very nice hike, the volcano is very impressive and not to much touristic for the moment ! Entrance fees for the hot springs and at the top for the community
Possibility to do other hike around (Santa Clara...), have a map at the entrance of the hot springs
